Due to the strong development of BDKiestra, there is a need to develop the knowledge and effectiveness of the current purchasing team. In your role as Sr. Buyer, you are expected to actively contribute ideas and help to guide the further professionalization of the procurement function. As a commercial - technical team player, your vision, knowledge, initiative, and decisiveness are crucial.
In this role you will be operationally / tactically but above all strategically responsible for the most critical suppliers of BDKiestra suppliers. You will work closely with other departments within the BD Kiestra organization for both projects and regular Business and will therefore make an important contribution to supervising and organizing scaling up of the entire BDKiestra Product Portfolio.You have a strong footing and enjoy further professionalizing the purchasing function in this dynamic working environment. You are no stranger to a sense of entrepreneurship. You report to the Purchasing and Planning Manager.

Tasks, Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing Procurement strategy in BDKiestra aligned with the BD Kiestra business strategy.
• Lead Key Suppliers, including negotiating favorable terms, volume discounts and prepare long term contract with Suppliers.
• Prepares, processes requisitions and Purchase orders for the procurement of goods and services for customer related business
• Procurement Master data management.
• Maintain relationship with internal customers.
• Pursue TCO cost reduction.
• Participate / take lead in (cross functional) in carrying out business / operating plans.
• Market research (desk- and field) for new potential Suppliers and/or cost reductions
• Back-up of Manager Procurement BD Kiestra
• May perform other duties as required.

Education / experience

• Bachelor / master’s degree in Procurement / supply chain and/or in the field of electro-mechanical engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a tactic/strategic buyer in technical environment
• Proven Prince2 or equal Project management skills.
• Proven experience as a tactical / strategic buyer in an international technical matrix organization.
• Wide experience in working in complex supply chains, including transferring Supply chains and/or product groups.
• Experience in leading international system Suppliers and contract Manufacturers.
• Proven experience in performing Market-Supplier Analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in Supplier performing analyses.

Knowledge

• Able to integrate knowledge of business and functional priorities to address and solve complex problems and non-standard situations.
• Understanding of Quality Management and Regulatory Environments (FDA, cGMP)
• Knowledge of Healthcare/ Medical industry a plus
• Demonstrated experience in Ms Word, Excel, Projects, Powerpoint and Power BI is a must.
• Knowledge and experience in working with ERP systems is a must.
• Comfortable in working with clear targets.
