In your role as Fund Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the establishment and management of Future Tech Ventures. The investment strategy and process steps are outlined; it's your job to implement them in practice and position Future Tech Ventures in the market. You will work with a team of three investment managers, who, although they come from three of the initiators (RUG Ventures, Triade, and the NOM), function as one team. You should be able to coach this team and ensure coherence in approach without a formal management relationship. Your Tasks You will handle the execution and monitoring of the investment strategy and are ultimately responsible for the results of Future Tech Ventures. Your task is to fill in and manage the entire investment process of the fund. This includes reporting to the subsidy provider. Capital Introduction:

• Your team generates investment leads from the partners' natural environments.
• Under your leadership, the team supports startups to prepare them for financing by Future Tech Ventures
• You and your team utilise all available contacts and networks. Engaging ecosystem partners and other channels is key to success.

Investment strategy:

• Within the outlined strategy, you ensure qualitative and quantitative financing of early-phase high-tech startups.
• You utilise standardised convertible loans for initial investments and custom products for followon investments.
• You engage co-investors who add value to the venture as much as possible.
• The investments aim to increase the startup's chances of success and make it financeable for later phases. For this, you actively use your network and the investors' network of the partners (such as VC, angels, etc.) and expand it.

Organisation:

• You are the hub of the entire fund organisation. You actively maintain contact with all relevant stakeholders and organisations, ecosystems, etc., related to the fund.
• You further professionalise the fund as the portfolio grows.
• You maintain proper administration, and the team systematically and efficiently records process steps. You work closely with the partner in administrative and legal support of the fund.
• The fund is supported by the Marketing and Communication specialists of the initiators, with whom you work closely.
• For the Northern Netherlands Alliance (SNN), you are the contact person for FTV's subsidy accountability as the manager

Who are you?

• Generating deal flow within the described target groups.
• Investing in the mentioned target groups up to and including realising exits.
• Managing investment funds and experience with ESI funds is a plus.
• Investing within state aid frameworks.
• Leading an (investment management) team.

Additionally:

• You feel a strong societal commitment to start-ups in the North of the Netherlands.
• You possess an extensive and high-quality but also relevant network of ecosystem parties and investors.
• Stakeholder management is second nature to you. Your sensitivity ensures that you involve and inform all parties positively, from operations to the executive level.
• You are entrepreneurial and find collaboration completely natural.

A select group will be invited to pitch to our selection committee (representatives from the partners) after which a final round of discussions will take place with the remaining candidates. The pitch round will take place on the morning of 17 and 18 April 2024. The final round of discussions will be held on a date to be filled in.
